In Matthew 16:15-18, when Jesus asked Peter who he thought he (Jesus) was, Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the son of the living God."Jesus replied "you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church" Pastor Witt relates these scriptures as the first time Jesus introduces "the church." It is the story of Jesus and the love affair that He has with his church, the bride. Part 4 of the series Upside Down Living

Pastor Doug Fields takes on the "upside down" teaching of Jesus in Matthew 5:21-22, where he teaches that not only is murder subject to judgment, but even anger is. He gives us three ways that we can take control of our anger, both the anger that damages others, and the anger that destroys us. We begin the process by naming our anger and we continue the process by learning to delay it so that we don't do damage to others. Finally, we need to learn from our anger so that we don't continue to let it destroy us and those around us.

Part 5 of the series Upside Down Living

Pastor Doug Fields teaches this message based on the "upside down" lesson of Jesus in Matthew 22:36-39. When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment in the Law of Moses was, he replied that we are to love God and love others. He teaches that this can be accomplished as we ask for forgiveness from God, offer forgiveness to others and most importantly remember the price of forgiveness that was paid for us on the cross. This is God's design for living life to the fullest. Pastor Doug concludes with the compelling story of a woman whose parents were brutally murdered and how she was able to meet and forgive her parents' killers.

Pastor Lance Witt looks at Matthew 18:1-6 to illustrate the three steps that God wants us to accomplish in our spiritual journey. He looks at our relationship with Jesus from a child's point of view and includes a clear explanation and call for salvation.

Pastor Tom Holladay finishes up the series with a message on some of the radical things Jesus said about money in the Bible. He looks at the parable of the shrewd manager in Luke 16 to teach four principles about money and possessions.
