Part 12 of the training series Lessons for Leadership Skills
Ministry is discouraging at times and ministry can be draining. When you serve in ministry, you need to have support over the long haul. At Saddleback we believe that the key to healthy ministry is having a healthy small group support network.
When people serve in ministry without being in a small group they usually don't last. They need to be involved in a group of other people who can encourage them, pray for them, provide meals for them when they're down and sick, give them a perspective when they tend to be overloaded or overwhelmed by the task that they have.
In this message, Pastor Rick discusses the New Testament model for small groups and shows how small groups and ministry go together.
