The Secret to Greatness
Part 1 of the series Upside Down Living
Pastor Tom Holladay teaches this message on the secret to greatness from Matthew 23:12. One of the counter-cultural messages of Jesus is that the only way to true greatness is through humility...if you want to be great, you've got to be humble. Pastor Tom looks at four ways that Jesus' teaching on humility should impact our lives: to let humility manage our ambitions, our need to be noticed, our tendencies to compare, and our relationship with God. Greatness is simply a matter of living the life that God gave you to live.

You Are Invited
Part 2 of the series Upside Down Living
Pastor Lance Witt brings this second message in the Upside Down Living series. In Matthew 16:15-18, when Jesus asked Peter who he thought he (Jesus) was, Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the son of the living God."Jesus replied "you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church" Pastor Witt relates these scriptures as the first time Jesus introduces "the church." It is the story of Jesus and the love affair that He has with his church, the bride. Pastor Lance relates the story of his small group's mission trip to Malawi, Africa as he brings a strong missions emphasis, teaching what Jesus intends the church to be, both locally and globally in a world that is waiting for the touch of Jesus.

When Anger Wins
Part 4 of the series Upside Down Living
Pastor Doug Fields takes on the "upside down" teaching of Jesus in Matthew 5:21-22, where he teaches that not only is murder subject to judgment, but even anger is. He gives us three ways that we can take control of our anger, both the anger that damages others, and the anger that destroys us. We begin the process by naming our anger and we continue the process by learning to delay it so that we don't do damage to others. Finally, we need to learn from our anger so that we don't continue to let it destroy us and those around us.

Forgive But Don't Forget
Part 5 of the series Upside Down Living
Pastor Doug Fields teaches this message based on the "upside down" lesson of Jesus in Matthew 22:36-39. When Jesus was asked what the most important commandment in the Law of Moses was, he replied that we are to love God and love others. He teaches that this can be accomplished as we ask for forgiveness from God, offer forgiveness to others and most importantly remember the price of forgiveness that was paid for us on the cross. This is God's design for living life to the fullest. Pastor Doug concludes with the compelling story of a woman whose parents were brutally murdered and how she was able to meet and forgive her parents' killers.
