Growing in our character is a lifelong process that requires our daily effort at becoming the best version of ourselves and into whom God created us to be in Christ. Taking a break from this discipline causes us to fall back into our old ways and hinders our progress. Although working on your character is hard work, the payoff is great when becoming more like Christ is the reward.
